TIC nor'easter benefits INFO. | Canada Insurance Plan

Our clients? safety remains our top priority, particularly in light of the nor?easter expected to impact the US East Coast on November 7, 2012.

All of you respected clients who booked travel arrangements and purchased Trip Cancellation & Interruption policies prior to November 7, 2012 will receive benefits in accordance with their TIC policy. Policies purchased on and after November 7, 2012 will not be eligible for Trip Cancellation & Interruption benefits.

We will work with you as our respected clients to reduce losses whenever possible by making alternate travel arrangements with respect to their travel destination or dates. When making a claim, you as clients may submit all the necessary information for claims adjudication.
More about nor?easter in the video ahead

Our Trip Cancellation & Interruption policies cover many insured risks which is a good benefit to you . However, you should be informed as our respective clients that once a travel advisory to avoid non-essential or all travel to a particular area has been issued by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, policies purchased after the notification date will not provide benefits for the travel disruptions to that area. This is consistent with the travel insurance industry practice in Canada.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and keep you updated on any changes.
